Description
Join our tutoring program.
Weave tutoring volunteers help level the educational playing field by providing one-on-one support to students who would otherwise not have access to tutoring.
We always have a waitlist of primary, high school, and university students who are looking for an adult mentor to help them with homework and assignments, study for tests, and take a nurturing interest in their lives.
Our Waterloo and Woolloomooloo tutoring locations are supervised and supported by Weave staff, who provide snacks, educational games, and necessary school supplies for tutoring sessions.
There’s nothing quite like seeing a lightbulb go off in a young person’s mind—experience it for yourself as a volunteer tutor at Weave!
Applicants for this role must have as a minimum:
- A valid Working with Children Check
- Be aged 20 years or older (preferred)
- An almost completed or completed undergraduate degree, or other relevant life experience
- An ability to commit for minimum 6 months (note: taking holidays is fine)
- An interest in developing a supportive mentoring relationship with a student.
